FAQ

Choosing and using Omseek.
Your questions answered.

Lead with GEO education on being seen in AI answers; retain with the VGO operating system for evidence, action and re-measurement. Direct answers on measurement, deployment, data, licensing, maintenance and migration.

What is GEO, and why does it matter now?

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) improves how brands are understood, cited, compared and appropriately recommended in generative AI answers. SEO focuses on discoverability in search results; GEO focuses on the seat inside AI answers. As more decisions start with asking an AI, presence in those answers shapes awareness and shortlists.

How can Omseek help your team?

Omseek is a platform for effective visibility growth optimization and autonomous governance in the machine-mediated world. Based on VGO, it connects SEO, AEO, GEO and SMO with Brand Truth, evidence, opportunities, decisions, execution, verification and learning. Governance runs throughout. The method also covers emerging surfaces such as agents; capability availability and automation depend on release, entitlement and integration scope.

How do VGO, GEO 2.0 and Omseek relate?

VGO is the overarching open methodology. GEO 2.0 names the GEO method and capabilities within it; it is neither the whole framework nor an upgrade to VGO. Omseek is a product implementation based on VGO.Explore GEO 2.0 in practice

How should I read mentions, position and citations?

Read mentions (presence), position (selection) and citation readiness separately to understand how your brand appears in answers. Each metric retains its version, sample requirements and evidence sources. Insufficient evidence is marked explicitly, rather than replaced with zero or combined into an unexplained score.

How soon is a first baseline available?

Configure your brand, competitors and starter questions, then begin sampling to open the baseline view. The first-day focus is on mentions, position and citation readiness, grouped by topic. Insufficient evidence is clearly marked and no score is provided until there is enough evidence.

Can competitors be tracked together?

Yes. The first-day setup includes your brand and 1โ€“5 competitors by default. Competitor results remain marked as insufficient until equivalent sampling and comparison conditions are met.

Is GEO 2.0 an industry standard, or a guarantee of AI recommendations?

No. Here, GEO 2.0 names our approach within VGO. We do not claim first invention, exclusivity or an industry-wide version standard. Relevant recommendations are a goal, not a guarantee of third-party AI behavior.

What do monitoring, execution and ongoing maintenance deliver?

Monitoring retains scenarios, answers and evidence. Action plans define priorities, owners and verification criteria. Execution records changes; maintenance reviews facts, perception drift and next actions. Availability and automation depend on release, entitlement and integration scope.

Does the free diagnosis provide a real AI visibility score?

No. The free preview identifies preliminary growth opportunities and visibility gaps. Providing a domain adds page-readiness checks. Assessing actual visibility changes requires ongoing sampling across questions, engines and time windows; no score is provided when evidence is insufficient.

Do I need to migrate my existing website to Omseek Site?

No. VGO can connect to third-party sites independently. Choose Omseek Site when you need to bring facts, content, publishing and verification together.

Can I keep using Studio after maintenance ends?

Within the license terms, the deployed current version can continue running. Future upgrades and ongoing services stop; existing usage rights and business data do not disappear with them.

Can a Cloud customer migrate to Studio later?

Yes. Portable Archive moves business objects and history, followed by credential and connection rebinding in the customer environment, preserving baselines and experiment records.

Does Studio upload business content to Omseek Cloud by default?

No. Studio keeps business content, customer data and raw evidence in the customer environment by default. Cloud-assisted capabilities require explicit configuration and authorization.
